6. Brinell hardness and characteristics of NM400/NM450/NM500 wear-resistant plate

What is a wear plate?

The surface hardness of NM400/NM450/NM500 wear-resistant plate is very high, and its service life is long. Its main components are low-carbon steel plate and alloy wear-resistant layer, in which the alloy wear-resistant layer accounts for 1/2 ~ 1/3 of the thickness of the whole plate. Because the main chemical composition is chromium, which can reach 20%~30% of all materials, its wear resistance is very good.

What are the grades of wear plates?

NM360 / WNM360 / NM400 / WNM400 / NM450 / WNM450 / NM500 / WNM500

Brinell hardness of wear plate:

NM360 / WNM360 :320-400HB
NM 400 / WNM400 : 360-440HB
NM450 / WNM450 : 410-490HB
NM500 / WNM500 : 460-540HB

The characteristics of wear plate:

1. Impact resistance: The impact resistance of the wear-resistant plate is very good. Even if there is a very high drop in the process of conveying materials, it will not do much harm to the wear-resistant plate.
2. Heat resistance: Under normal circumstances, wear-resistant plates below 600 degrees can be used normally, but if we add some vanadium and molybdenum when making wear-resistant plates, then the high temperature below 800 degrees is no problem.
3. Corrosion resistance: Because the wear-resistant plate contains a lot of chromium, the corrosion resistance of the wear-resistant plate is excellent, so there is no need to worry about corrosion.
4. Cost-performance ratio: The price of wear-resistant plate is 3~4 times that of ordinary steel plate, but the service life of wear-resistant plate will be more than 10 times longer than that of ordinary steel plate, so its cost-performance ratio is relatively high.
5. Convenient processing: the weldability of the wear-resistant plate is very strong, and it can also be easily bent into various shapes, which is very convenient to process.
